Caricatures

Iconoguy is having a lot of success delivering one-of-a-kind caricatures done directly from your photographs. No more sitting there squirming while the artist tries to get it "just right" in front of a bunch of rubber neckers in the local mall. Jeff Cartoon Jeff Cartoon Contact us directly and we'll set you up in one of our many different styles of renderings such as the "Retro" style, or the "Sketch" style or our newest offering: the "Extreme Cartoon" style. Realistic portraiture is also available. All styles are full-color, but monotone such as black, white and grey, is popular, too.

"CARTOONY" STYLE CARICATURE By far our most popular style we dubbed "Cartoony" for obvious reasons. Your caricature in this style will show off your wildest, wackiest side, and be the most abstract. It's really fun, and while maybe not so quickly recognizably "you," it probably captures a person's "essence" best, and is the best style of all our choices.

"RETRO" STYLE CARICATURE This style is our second most popular. It looks "retro" because it harkens back to the style of the 50's & 60's with it's flat shading and dark outlines.

It also looks a little

like a "paint by number" painting, also very popular "back in them days."

This young lady to the left is a professional model. She pointed me to her MySpace page and I chose a photo I liked, then created the caricature from it.

You can see here the final product as well as the photo below it.

This gives you some kind of idea of what yours will look like, the differences and why a caricature is better than a photo in many ways.

It's definitely more "fun" and also grabs your attention faster than just a photo. It's more colorful and simpler, of course more stylized.

And it is by far the more popular out of the two color versions (Retro or Sketchy).

You may have noticed some added props to our artist here. The customer requested we add a berret & and paint brush, to give her that "artist look." We happily obliged, and we can do the same for your caricature. Just be sure and tell us ahead of time when you order.

Here's an example of the 3 "realistic" style caricatures we do, and the photo that inspired them.

First of all, there is this "Retro" style.

And here we have the "Sketchy" style.

Finally, this is our "Greyscale Sketchy" style.

He doesn't look too happy does he? He's really just a good actor!
